Fish Pool ASA is established as a Regulated marketplace for the buying and selling of financial salmon contracts at an international level.

Fish Pool ASA is licenced by the Norwegian Ministry of Finance to operate as an Regulated Marketplace for commodity derivates with fish and seafood as underlying products. A Regulated Marketplace has the same set of rules as an Exchange and is surveilled by The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway (Kredittilsynet). This surveillance secures the trading members at Fish Pool ASA:

  • Neutrality and equal treatment of all market participants
  • Secure trading with appropriate quality assurances
  • Objectivity and high ethical standards

Fish Pool ASA offer two options for settlement of contracts: Bilateral settlements and Clearing.
Clearing services are operated by NOS Clearing ASA, a licenced clearing house with more than 1 Bill NOK in capital. Further information about Clearing at Fish Pool can be found here  and at www.nos.no.

Fish Pool ASA started up trading in May 2006 and is located in Bergen , Norway.
Oslo Børs owns 94,3 % of the shares in Fish Pool ASA.

Chairman:

Bente A. Landsnes
President & CEO
CEO/President  in Oslo Børs VPS Holding ASA. From 1.1. 2006, CEO in Oslo Børs ASA,  member of the board VPS ASA, chairman of the Board Oslo Clearing ASA. Before that Group executive vice president at DnBNOR and Gjensidige NOR, in addition to several years experience from leading positions in  Sparebanken NOR. Amongst other things been  responsible for IT, payments, custody and  settlement in the banks. Several board positions e.g.  Oslo Børs, VPS, VISA, BBS and NOS during 1998-2005.

Geir Heggem
Senior Vice President
Mr Heggem is a business economics graduate and State Authorised Public Accountant. He first joined Oslo Børs in the Equity Markets Section in 1997. Heggem has been CFO since May 2002, after acting in that position in 2001. Prior to joining Oslo Børs he worked for Coopers & Lybrand.

 

 
Øivind Amundsen
SVP Legal Affairs and Primary Market
Øivind Amundsen is Senior Vice President responsible for the Legal affairs department and for the section Primary Market. He took up his position in 2010. He has former positions as partner in the lawfirm Selmer working with Public Equity Capital Transactions and Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs in KLP. Prior to this he worked, among others, several years as lawyer in the legal department with Oslo Børs. Amundsen is Cand. jur from the University in Bergen, Authorized Financial Analyst from The Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in addition to higher officer from the Norwegian Naval Academy.

 

 

 
Jostein Refsnes
Managing Director of Fish Link Consulting AS. Former CEO of Hydro Seafood AS and Chairman of Fiskeri- og Havbruksnæringens Landsforening (FHL). Jostein has comprehensive experience from various boards of directors within the salmon industry.
 
 
Helene Jebsen Anker
Was until 2008 the Credit Manager for Nordea Bank Norge ASA’s central unit for real estate financing in Norway and on the management committee of the business area and of Norgeskreditt AS. Helene has comprehensive experience from various boards of directors.
