FinanceAgri is a registered BMR Benchmark Administrator since the 14th of April 2020. FinanceAgri is under the Benchmark supervision of AMF (the French Financial Market Authorities) for Sitagri Salmon Index. According to BMR regulations, FinanceAgri has been appointed by Euronext Group to provide the new weekly salmon spot index (SISALMONI*) as the underlying of the EUR-denominated cash-settled Salmon Futures contract. SISALMONI takes over the index NQSALMON previously managed by Nasdaq.

What is SISALMONI?

Sitagri Salmon index is reflecting a weekly spot price of 17 benchmarks for Fresh Atlantic Superior Salmon transported from Norway to Europe. SISALMONI is calculated on physical transaction taken from a panel of Norwegian salmon exporters.

The 17 benchmarks are devided into 9 weight categories (from 1 to 9+ Kg), one grand weighted average and the 3-6Kg index. Sitagri Salmon Index 3-6kg accounts for 95% of the Fish Pool index. The benchmarks are calculated once a week on Tuesdays at 15.00 CET.

Weekly benchmarks

• Prices are reported in NOK/Kg (Norwegian Kroner) and Euro/kg FCA Oslo.
• Grand Average (Exporters’ sales prices (all segments) volume weighted price.
• Volume weighted average price per weight class from 1-2 to 9+
• SISALMONI 3-6Kg index (weekly weighted average for 3-4Kg, 4-5Kg, 5-6Kg) is used for :
  100% of the settlement price of the salmon contract in EUR traded at Euronext (starting 22 July 2024).
